The Fahlbergs

Well Feb is being a little rough with the Fahlberg 4.  Benjamin had the flu last week and missed 4 days of school.  Elise is now dealing with the super mega runny nose and such a hacking cough she can barely walk without doubling over.  Kirk has had the Barry White voice and kinda felling off while I once again have the chest congestion and the cough that makes your abs hurt.  WOOOHOOOOO  we are just doing flipping GREAT! 

On the brighter side of things Kirk is still being a heavy hitter at work.  My sales have been really good and I have moved up to Director in the company.  Elise is still being an adorable monkey with a zest for life   Benjamin is really amazing with all the love he gives. 

Cant wait to see what the rest of the month has to offer us   Ya here that Feb – we are redy for you!  you cant break us!

Spent about 10 hours yesterday in my basement and it is freak’n SPOTLESS!  I have found a new obsession of Kirks that i must have missed in the last 5 years we have lived here – the man LOVES to collect empty boxes and store them in the basement.  and put smaller empty boxes in the big empty boxes and so on.  so most of what i threw out yesterday was boxes of boxes…. yah…..boxes LOL

so we moved everything we wanted to keep into the storage area of the basement and totally emptied the left side.  I mopped the floor twice – wiped down the walls and applied 1 coat of KILLZ.  Now I have to pick out a color that will brighten up the walls and make it a little more homey   Kirk and I are also trying to decide what to do with this huge space.  The 3rd story is already the kids playroom.  I mentioned a man cave to Kirk but he cant smoke his stinky cigars down there so he nixed that.  Maybe ill put my office downstairs and throw a couch and tv for the kids and a few toys so when mommy is working they have something to do and still watched.  who knows!  got any ideas?

2010 seems to be going well!!!  Elise is being such an angel and not listening to a dang thing i say :O  And to boot it all she does it with the most impish smile i have ever seen on a willfull child.  She is charm embodied in a stout little wench lol

Benjamin is suffering in a loud silence of MOM! MOM! Elise did ….(fill in the blank)  I really dont think any older brother in the history of the world has been THIS loving towards his little sister.  He is taking Kindergarden by storm and is often used by the teacher to explain things to other kids in a way that only kids can understand.  He loves his new room and is very focused on becoming a young man and not a little boy.  His new stero is a main key in this right now he is listening to The Cure and has declared them……cool mom – cool. 

Kirk is dealing with the snow by getting to work an extra hour early each morning to make sure he is there and accounted for.  Gotta be a good shining example for the team blah blah blah.  Kick ass honey – im proud of ya

Me – im looking at my painting that needs done,  the pocket doors that need to be resanded, the cleaning of the basement.  My business and the basically everything else that i have put off for so long…. ah well – maybe tomorrow ROFL.  Ive been sick again – 4rth time this winter with the stupid sinus straight to the chest hack up a lung and still try to look sexy for your husband sickness.  i am over it  – i think he is also

Little El was just as precious in her fairy princess costume.  She was very timid at first walking up to peoples houses but when she realized she could reach in the bowl and get candy – we could barely keep up with her.  I think she may have even collected more candy then Benjamin because her goal was to grab as much as possible – which of course was ok because she had the cute factor working for her.

Very early in the year Benjamin informed me that he was to be a robot for halloween.  I had visions of lasers and blinking lights and a complete circuit and framework of wires.  Working with the tools I had at hand I think his costume was the hit of the neighborhood!  I do have to share that when he was walking down someones stairs he slowly fell backward and was stuck on his back like a tutrle.  I nearly peed myself laughing watching him wave his arms and legs in the air.

I have come to the understanding there is nothing in the world that you should start at 3am in the morning.  Most of all – your website   After a few phone calls a nice man named George who kindly let me know that I have so conveniently linked my site back to itself in a forwarding loop.  Boo-ya!!!  Fear my web abilities!!!!!!!!
